I define myself as a storyteller. (A reference from my mother—and the contents of her file cabinet—is available upon request.) My words have been featured in “Best American Travel Writing” 2012 and 2014 and have won numerous awards. I have served as the editor-in-chief of Skiing Magazine, and as a longtime editor of SKI before that. I now freelance for titles such as Outside Magazine, Uncommon Path, Powder, Freeskier, Mountain, Elevation Outdoors, Colorado Home & Lifestyles, and more.

I give 110 percent in everything I do. I believe that a certain degree of discomfort is the key to happiness. I’m nice. I get my mind blown when I look at the pattern in a pine cone. I laugh a lot.

I live in Steamboat, Colo., with my wonderful daughter and terrible cat, and use writing as a beard to ski powder as often as possible. Please visit my custom-content site, Screen Door Media.
